Bullying & Ostracism at the Workplace in Malta Project

The Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD) is proud to be a partner in the ‘Bullying & Ostracism at the Workplace in Malta‘ project, which was launched recently by bBrave.

The launch was held during Malta’s national Anti-Bullying Week 2021 press conference, with the theme One Kind Word.

CRPD is a partner in this project and is represented on the Consultative Committee which will oversee the implementation of this ESF project.

‘Persons with disability are more likely to experience bullying. This does not mean that they need pity – we put a stop to bullying by taking direct action and by being kind,’ said CRPD executive director Rhoda Garland, who attended the event.

Also present were the Parliamentary Secretary for Sports, Recreation and Voluntary Organisations Clifton Grima, Parliamentary Secretary for European Funds Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister Carmelo Abela and bBrave representatives.

The project will study the phenomenon of bullying in the local workplace, develop a toolkit for Maltese employers and finally hold an awareness campaign.
